People Saying Anything and Everything to Fit Their Narrative Part Une & Deux
Everyone's Living in Their Own Movie (And the Plot Makes No Damn Sense)

I am fortunately not one of those people who live in an echo chamber. Unfortunately, that probably does not bode well for this venture. In the modern era, if there is one thing that people want, that people need, that people love – it is their echo chamber. I take in a lot of info in one day, I get more than triple your daily minimum requirement of it. This means I'll take it from anywhere 😉 and I just cannot believe today's twists and contortions taken for these shmoes to get reality to fit their narrative.
Humanity is literally the worst at one specific thing: we shut off our brain at the superficial level of reality. We grab the first explanation that confirms what we already believe and run with it, consequences (and contradictions) be damned.
Let's scratch at the gilded turd and reveal the shit underlying the golden foil.
Exhibit A: The Absurdity Olympics
We'll start with a fella claiming he "has no hate for the Juice" whilst flexing how he got Elon to reconsider his position on Israel's War on Palestine. Rather than stating "BOMBING CHILDREN," he yammered on about how Jeffrey Epstein was a Mossad asset, and my personal favorite, how the Juice did 9/11. Why? There were Israeli Moving Trucks spotted throughout the Eastern Seaboard who had the perfect position to witness the towers collapsing...all while flicking their lighters leading up to the attack.

But maybe "why" is the wrong W here. Because what in the W tee fuck does this have to do with Israel's Scorched Earth Policy War??? W's, George Bush, Washington, Pentagon, George Bush bombed the fucking Pentagon! My Mom's Dad's Mechanic saw him plant the explosives. It was an inside job people! There is no such thing as logic anymore, only coincidences. ...butttt if you ask me the Saudis did it. And maybe it was an inside job. But that's for another article.
Exhibit B: The Political Contortionists
Take the egg shortage narrative. Prices are high, so naturally, ORANGE MAN BAD...right?!?! Wrong. It is for the same reason that Trump is a huge piece of shit, though!
While we shut down our Bird Flu Pandemic Monitoring and all the other joocy Federal Grant $ flow, our farmers are culling their herds to keep away the Bird Flu Volléy. So, Trump's Tariffs that aren't even in effect yet are not to blame! Let's just see what happens when this Birdemic goes full BRR and we can't SKIRRR, then we can blame Trump for the lack of eggs...life...and so on.
Now on the other side of the fence, we have Trumptards proclaiming triumphant victory in lifting the Libtards of California out from the LA inferno because the Federales completed a 3-day maintenance of federal water pumps. The problem? Reservoirs have been at record-high levels for 2023 and 2024. There is no lack of water in LA.
The bigger problem? The Executive Order focuses on 2 Water Delivery Systems (which affect a handful of endangered fish species) – except 1 of those is the Central Valley Project, which ends in the southern San Joaquin Valley near Bakersfield and does not reach Southern California's urban areas to the south. The other, if you must know, is the State Water Project. With such descriptive names, how could we not discern right from wrong here? And well, there just isn't much going on here. Honestly, I'm just surprised something so unsexy has any semblance of a blip on the radar.[^1]
Then, we move on to TYT, The Young Turks, gosh darn they just love their straw-man arguments because ORANGE MAN BAD! For fuck sake, they're using disgraced (and also felonious) Steve Bannon's soundbyte from a Young Republicans' Gala (what a graceful fall from grace) to stoke the anxieties of their neolib, pink hat wearing, "In this house we do the science," followers. He bequeaths the audience to cheer on a 3rd Trump term...SCARY!
Then they get their hate hard-on as they mention how Orange Man spent the most time golfing as POTUS ever! How when he was asked about a 3rd term, where he genuinely shut down the idea and clearly had no desire, Trump looked "tired" – proof that he's got a poor bill of health and on his last legs. How delusional can you be? Why must there always be a dick measuring contest? It's pathetic to try to duke it out over who has the most senile geriatric in office; especially when you are the loser.
The Absurdity of Our Political Theater
I'm tired of this diehard FOOBALL type attitude that people have fallen into with politics. Please just go back to your desk job or take a fucking lap. This isn't football and this ain't no sprint, it's a marathon, one where we're all holding hands and singing koomBEEYAW.

Running a marathon is difficult, especially when you're holding hands, it'll be uncomfortable and there'll be chaffing but it'll be worth it. Thing is you've got to step out of the echo chamber to participate, see you there.
The Camus-ian View: Embracing the Absurd
If Albert Camus were alive today, he'd probably look at our social media discourse and laugh until he cried. The absurdity of our desperate need to force complex realities into simplistic narratives would have given him material for ten more novels.
The existentialist approach would be to recognize the inherent meaninglessness of our political theater while creating authentic meaning through genuine connection and intellectual honesty. Instead, we're trapped in a never-ending cycle of confirmation bias and tribal signaling.
Breaking Free From the Narrative Trap
- Escaping the narrative trap is recognizing that you're in one. We all are. The human brain is a narrative-creating machine, and it will twist evidence to fit the story it's already telling.
- Step #2 is harder: deliberately seeking out information that contradicts your existing beliefs. Not to "own the libs" or "trigger the conservatives," but to genuinely test whether your understanding holds up against reality.
- Step #3 is hardest of all: being willing to change your mind when the evidence demands it. This requires a level of intellectual humility that's increasingly rare in our discourse.
But the alternative is to remain trapped in a fantasy world where reality exists only to confirm what you already believe. And that, my friends, is no way to live.
So let's all take a breath, step outside our narrative bubbles, and try something revolutionary: caring more about what's true than what feels good to believe. It won't be comfortable, but nothing worthwhile ever is.
